Get ready for an invasion of racing car
fans next month as the FIA Formula One World Championship comes to the
Interlagos racetrack in Sao Paulo. Formula 1 is one of the city‘s biggest
tourist attractions, bringing visitors from all over the world as well as
support crews, technicians and drivers.

These two activities can be done easily in all those parks scattered
around Bangkok. You can find energetic aerobics groups in the park
around 5-6 p.m. everyday. Some major parks in Bangkok are as follows:
- Lumphini Park on Rama IV Road in the Silom area
- Benchasiri Park (the Queen's Park) on Sukhumwit Road
- Rommaninat Park on Siriphong Road, near the Giang Swing
- Saranrom Park on Thaiwang Road, near the Grand Palace and Wat Pho

Diving
Some of the WORLD'S BEST DIVING around the islands
and banks in the Andaman Sea (Koh Similans, Burma Banks, Koh Surin)
and the Burmese Mergui Archipelago, which are reached by multi-day
cruises on live-aboards out of Phuket and Ranong,
Dive sites around the Ang Thong Marine Park in the
western part of the Gulf of Thailand (Koh Tao, Koh Samui, Koh
Phangan and Chumphon), And dive sites south and east of Phuket
including those in Krabi and near Koh Lanta.

Centres
Generally, swimming pools and fitness centres are provided in
top-grade hotels. There are also a good number of sports clubs and
fitness centers elsewhere around Bangkok, especially in business
and tourist districts like Silom, Sukhumwit, etc.

Boating
In Lumphini Park, Bangkok's most popular park, there is a big
artificial lake in the centre which is perfect for boating. Boats are
available for rent at very reasonable rates. |

Horse Racing
The Royal Bangkok Sports Club holds horse racing
events that are open to the public every second Sunday of the
month. The club is located on:

Khon
Kaen Horse Racing Track
Racing is held every Saturday except
on holidays and then it is held on Sunday. Racing starts at 12:00
(noon) and goes through to 6:00pm for the ten races. |
