Introduction...

Thailand known as the Land of Smiles (LOS) and Bangkok (City of Angels)
Where you are likely to meet the friendliest people

and the most beautiful women in the world.

Bangkok exceeds 1,500 square kilometres in area, and with a population of over 6 million means that approximately one in every ten Thais is a Bangkokian.

Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand is one of Asia's most cosmopolitan cities, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, (The River of Kings) a few kilometers upstream from its outflow into the Gulf of Siam. Bangkok is the focal point for virtually all major industrial, commercial and financial activity.

The Thai capital was created by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty in 1782.
Bangkok is a national treasure house and Thailand a spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic centre.

Overall, weather in Bangkok is hot and has little variation in temperature over months.

High temperatures combine with humidity May-October. Heaviest rain in September and October. Average temperature changes in every month within range of 20-30 Celsius.

Major tourism attractions include glittering Buddhist temples, palaces, timeless 'Venice of the East' canal and river scenes, classical dance extravaganzas, legendary nightlife, and numerous air conditioned shopping centers selling Thai silks, cottons, gemstones, bronze pewterware, and many, many more internationally admired handicrafts.
